It’s probably right to say that nobody predicted just what a whirlwind 2020 was going to be.
It’s a great time to reflect, say goodbye to 2020, wish you all a Merry Christmas and prepare ourselves for another great year of opportunity in 2021.
PBL started the year as Priority Business Lawyers, and rebranded as PBL Law Group. This new brand demonstrates our commitment to delivering a broader set of legal services with offices in Sydney CBD and the Central Coast.
With that goal in mind, 2020 has seen us taking significant steps towards building one of the most experienced strata law teams in NSW.
We welcomed Alex Ilkin to PBL. Alex brings with him 40 years of dedicated focus on strata law and is regarded as one of the State’s finest legal practitioners in strata litigation and building defects. He has written two of the leading books on strata law, known as the strata bibles.
Early next year we are proud to be welcoming strata development expert Phillipa Russell. Phillipa likewise brings 40 years of experience exclusively devoted to her strata law practice. She commands enormous respect in the legal and strata communities as one of strata law’s highest regarded practitioners and is at the frontier in shaping how strata development legislation has evolved.
With Phillipa and Alex at the helm, in 2021 we will be working hard to become known as an expert team of strata lawyers in NSW serving developers, surveyors, strata managers, owners corporations and owners.
Our expanding strata team will build on and supplement our growing practice areas in construction, business, IP, insolvency, litigation and finance.
So while 2020 might not be as everyone expected, for us here it has offered a great chance for reflection, planning and consolidation of our core practice areas to leap into 2021 with renewed focus and energy.
